Confession:
I can’t resist anything remotely inspired by The Greatest Showman.
So of course I went to see Cirque: The Greatest Show Reimagined the other day.
I walked in expecting to be wowed by the acrobatics, the lights, the sheer spectacle…
(and yes, they were pretty amazing)
But what stood out most wasn’t an act.
It was a story.
One of the lead singers, Max Fox, shared how he had finally made it to the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.
After trying for nineteen years.
He’d literally begged the judges to give him a chance.
And they said yes.
Max later said:
“Sometimes fairy tales do happen and it does seem unbelievable, but it’s true.”
Here’s the thing though…
Fairy tales don’t just happen.
Someone has to step into the audition.
Someone has to risk being told “no.”
Someone has to back themselves enough to take the chance.
So let me ask you:
What opportunity are you side-eyeing right now?
That audition you’re scared to book...
That new role you’re quietly dreaming about...
That stage you can already picture yourself standing on...?
Because as magical as it all looks from the outside…
No one makes it there by luck alone.
They make it there with courage… often in spite of all the doubts and worries still lurking in their minds.
That’s why every fairy tale has a guide:
Someone in their corner who teaches them to steady the nerves and deliver well when it matters.
So if you want a fairy godmother as you prepare for your big moment, I’d love to help.
