You’re a skilled, hard-working musician — committed to your craft, and no stranger to pressure.
But now, there’s a performance coming up.
One that matters.
And despite all your preparation, you can’t stop worrying about mistakes, blanking out, or being judged — by the audience, the panel, or even yourself.
You’ve been doing this for years… but when it’s time to step on stage, the nerves still take over.
Your mind spirals, your hands shake, and your focus slips.
The performance never quite matches your potential — and each time, the frustration deepens.
Maybe you’re still pushing through, hoping the fear will fade with experience (like everyone says).
Or maybe you’re hesitating altogether, wondering if this is really sustainable… or if it’s time to walk away.
I know this isn’t why you became a musician.
Let’s prepare for your big moment — with clarity, calm, and confidence.

I specialise in supporting musicians who want to feel confident in their skills and stay grounded, focused, and present when it matters most.

If you’ve come this far, maybe you’ve tried a few things to ‘get over’ or ‘get through’ your nerves, fears, and inner criticism.
Things like…
-
Taking more lessons, perfecting your technique, spending hours in the practice room daily (but the problem is not that your musicianship is not good enough.)
-
Trying meditation, yoga, herbal aids to calm down, but their calming effects do not translate to your performances.
-
Looking into positive psychology and repeating affirmations in the mirror, but find that these leave you feeling even worse because there is a part of you that simply refuses to believe you are good enough.
-
Trying visualisation, ‘record & critique’, desensitisation through frequent performance… but without a clear intentional goal, these do not necessarily improve one’s confidence or performances.
The truth is:
Performing well under pressure is a different skill altogether... and it’s one most of us were never taught.
Not in lessons. Not in rehearsals. Not even in music school.
In 8 years of teaching and coaching, I’ve seen my students struggle with this again and again.
That’s why I developed a focused, compassionate framework to help them manage nerves, self-criticism, dread and fear — so they can perform at their best, and actually enjoy it again.

My laser-focused Single Session Coaching framework is built around 5 key components:
-
Understanding how performance anxiety actually shows up in your performances
-
Clarifying your goals for the moment that matters most
-
Learning simple, practical tools to stay present and focused under pressure
-
Managing negative inner talk in real time
-
Staying connected to your values and your intention — even mid-performance
This approach combines the most effective tools I’ve refined over years of teaching, coaching, and studying the psychology of performance.
It blends elements from mindfulness, self-compassion, Acceptance & Commitment Training (ACT), solution-focused work, and Jungian coaching — adapted specifically for musicians.
With this session, you'll walk away with tools to manage anxiety and self-doubt, stay focused, and perform in alignment with your values — even when the stakes are high.
This is the mental and emotional training you should’ve received in music school.

I found Gökçe to be extremely professional and empathetic: The fact that she herself is a musician puts her in a different position than a psychologist or a general coach. Her advice was invaluable and allowed me to tackle performance-related challenges in a more effective way.
Gökçe demonstrated a deep understanding of the issues that musicians face and provided practical solutions to overcome them. It was an incredibly positive experience to work with her.
